County Penalties

If your taxes go delinquent, the tax assessor will apply a 6% penalty and a 1% interest in February.

Penalty charges accrue at a rate of 1% per month up to 12% in July. Interest accrues at a rate of 1% per month until your taxes are paid in full. In July, the tax assessor may also apply an additional 20% penalty for attorney fees.
