Alamo Home Finance (AHF) was founded in San Antonio Texas by Gus Arellano to assist families and businesses in need by paying their delinquent property taxes. With over 20 years of professional experience in banking, loan servicing and finance administration Gus had a clear understanding of the opportunities and challenges required to build a first class company in property tax lending. This foundation started with a group of experienced and loyal office staff members, a select group of funding partners/investors and an ever growing list of families and businesses in need that have been overcome by the current financial situation in our country and fallen behind in their property taxes.
The day to day operations of AHF are far more than just the servicing and ongoing management of our property tax loans for our partners and investors. The real challenge today is how to grow our funding base by incorporating new innovative programs and best industry practices that will allow us to attract more money that in turn will allow us to reach out to more people in need and create yet another growth cycle.
Our initial goal was to branch out to multiple states, but we have decided that the State of Texas offers more than enough opportunity to grow and concentrate our expertise and efficiencies in a market that has seen better times but appears poised to recover in the times ahead. In addition, the latest round of legislation has provided a concrete set of rules and regulations that both protect the consumer and provide a set of legal processes for licensed companies like AHF to follow.
As we start on our third year in business, we embrace our growing base of borrowers, investors and partners and proudly display our Better Business Bureau rating as an accredited business.
